Students may obtain their bachelor’s degree concurrently with the required speech prerequisites through TTI’s undergraduate program with Woodmont College. The prerequisite coursework is taken through Eastern New Mexico University (ENMU). This program typically takes 12 months to complete.

For students who already possess a bachelor’s degree, the necessary speech prerequisites can also be completed through ENMU.

Where Can Your Degree Take You?

Becoming a speech therapist opens doors to job opportunities in schools, hospitals, early intervention, rehabilitation units, clinics, and private practices. You’ll have the chance to work with a diverse clientele, including those with developmental disabilities, voice and language disorders, brain injuries, and swallowing difficulties.

Speech therapy is a growing field, and the demand for qualified therapists is increasing. The Bureau of Labor Statistics predicts 18% job growth over the next 10 years. Salaries vary by location and experience but generally range from $95,000 to $104,000 in the metropolitan area.
