A Professional and Technical Writer must relay complex information to a consumer in a detailed and simplistic manner. They therefore must have the ability to analyze information and understand its main components before relaying it to others. Technical writers use their writing skills, as well as computer knowledge, to convey information through a variety of forums, including diagrams, illustrations and other visual aids. They are capable of creating press releases, memos, reports, business proposals, datasheets, product descriptions and specifications and resumes, among others. These jobs can be done by working from home, at part-time hours.
