Nursing Home Administration is a specialized area of medical and health services management. Nursing Home Administrators are responsible for running effective and efficient nursing homes, and related facilities, that comply with all state and federal requirements and health and safety codes. They are responsible for:
- Patient admissions
- Facility operations
- Personnel management
- Accounting
- Budget planning
- Acting as primary liaisons for residents, families, nurses, healthcare staff, and the general public
TTI guides students in the completion of a Bachelor’s Degree in Liberal Arts. That includes necessary courses related to this field. In addition, each state requires Nursing Home Administrators to be licensed, which requires completion of a board-approved internship and a comprehensive examination.
