Audio engineers are the wizards behind the music and audio files we use every day. If you love music and have a technical side to your personality, this program is for you.
In this project-based curriculum, you will learn the Pro Tools software used to record, edit, mix, and output the finished session.

You’ll gain the ability to confidently work in a digital environment and operate the audio software, as well as industry standard equipment. We will create, organize, mix and deliver a completed basic mix that meets industry standard specifications, with an emphasis on creativity and professionalism.
You will then learn how to utilize advanced methods and complex workflows to process a multitrack mix. Via practical exercises, you’ll gain the tools to capture a live performance, then mix and master it on a professional level using industry standard best practices.
Teacher-student interaction is expected and required. Classes are recorded for your convenience.
Students will be able to meet privately with teachers on a weekly basis for review.
With TTI Careers Audio Engineering course, you have the option of earning up to 15 college credits towards a degree. A bachelor’s degree makes you a more appealing hire for prospective employers.

Tuition is payable in two installments, due on the first day of each semester.
Does not include laptop, software and course materials. $100 registration fee applies.
High School Diploma or GED*
*If you don’t have a high school diploma, you may take an “Ability-to-Benefit” test at a TTI testing center. Please mention this to Admissions staff upon registration so that we may make arrangements for the test within the necessary time frame.
TTI Careers programs are approved by the New Jersey Department of Education.
Students who take the Audio Engineering course will have the opportunity to take College Level Exams through Coopersmith Career Consulting to earn college credits.
Audio engineers can begin working at an average starting salary of $23 per hour. Depending on the quality of their work and networking ability, a talented, motivated audio engineer can earn up to $100,000, especially when freelancing and opening her own business. Audio engineers can find employment with musicians and production companies as part of their in-house audio team, creating mp3 files and supplying audio soundtracks. Many audio engineers work freelance on behalf of schools, camps and individuals.
Chava Friedman is a professional studio engineer and has been successfully teaching studio recording for many years, reaching many students who went on to operate their own successful businesses. She has a unique method and brilliant curriculum that takes the girls from knowing nothing to an advanced musical engineer using simple step by step lessons.
Lance Seiders is an accomplished bassist and audio engineer with over 17 years of experience. He specializes in recording/mixing music, voice-overs, overdubs, and radio commercials.
