7 weeks
This 7-week program is designed for professionals who already have a foundation in digital audio workstations (DAWs) and want to advance their skills in audio engineering, MIDI programming, and full- track production.
The course blends theory with hands-on practice in modern music creation—covering sound design, MIDI sequencing, mixing, and mastering for commercial-ready audio. Participants will work through the full production process: composing with virtual instruments, layering percussion and bass, arranging guitar and keys, orchestrating strings, and finalizing a mix.
By the end of the program, students will have produced and mixed an original track ready for their professional portfolio. Participants will have produced a complete, mixed track demonstrating professional-level skill in MIDI composition, sound design, and audio engineering. Graduates leave with a deeper command of production workflow, from concept to final master.
Teacher-student interaction is expected and required. Classes are recorded for your convenience.
Students will be able to meet privately with teachers on a weekly basis for review.

Experienced audio engineers can build strong careers in recording studios, media production companies, advertising, and live or post-production sound. Many expand into freelance mixing, mastering, or music production for film, television, and digital platforms.
With several years of experience, accomplished engineers generally earn $80,000 to $150,000+ per year, with top professionals surpassing that through steady client work, licensing, or studio ownership.
Chava Friedman is a professional studio engineer and has been successfully teaching studio recording for many years, reaching many students who went on to operate their own successful businesses. She has a unique method and brilliant curriculum that takes the girls from knowing nothing to an advanced musical engineer using simple step by step lessons.
